Beyond the card
The ancestral Oniyx species was led by a great chief known as the Inventor. His people vanished in rebellion against the divinities. The writings of Lumethia keep his courage and his many sacrifices in memory. Aided by his second, Lumisaros, the Inventor designed the magic orbs named after his species — still used today, though no one knows how to manufacture them, so they are looked after with care. He created many weapons and defenses against the divine madness of the old days. Today, his creations are prisoners of the crystal lands east of Nordvinter.
