Lore

Abondance hosts great many paintings. Among them is the astral whale Ephial. The painting on the ground is the subject of debate. The Mistress of Tints uses the whole city as her blank canvas, drawing many visitors. Ephial is her most striking painting. Some think it's a depiction of the pilgrimage — pilgrims identify with it in their quest for their Eternal at the Celestial Mount. Others think it's linked to the flying creature southwest of Emeldarion. The Mistress of Tints, for her part, stays discreet about the origin of her ideas.
