Choose what you want to accomplish.
A deck can accelerate damage, accumulate bonuses, or protect a threat. Start with that intention, then choose a key card. Tiers help you discover options; they don’t replace coherence between all four cards.
Give every slot a job.
Ask what each card contributes to the others: compatible generation, damage, healing, control, or economy. Two cards can share a role, but a slot with no clear contribution is a good replacement candidate. Check talents too: the best solo talent can change in a team.
Test one hypothesis at a time.
Save a reference composition in the workshop. Change one card or talent, rerun the analysis, then compare score, tempo, and healing. The engine’s suggestions are ideas to try. Simulation uses an average opponent, so test your idea against real game situations afterward.
