Lore

This is a well-known tale of the birth of Nyevielh. As the elemental imbalance kept growing, caused by the endless wars between Eternals, one person rose up against the martial dictatorship of the Light King and the silence of the Shadow King. Armed with an unrivaled affinity for Shadow, Kagura organized troops and founded the Duchy of Shadows. She slew the Shadow King of her time, advisor to the Light King, in single combat. After running him through the heart with her spear, she took over his role and responsibilities. The territory conquered from the mightiest of nations was christened Nyevielh, the “new life.” Since then, the two countries have shared a stable diplomatic relationship. As the new holder of the title of Shadow King, she entrusted the command of Nyevielh to her companion. The title then reverted to a traditional, honorary role, charged with elemental balance and with no say in the future of a country.
