Lore

During the “Curse of the Kings,” a strange disease spread across Vaeloria. Named “Fanure,” it took control of living beings and slowly turned them into plants... As their consciousness faded, they would end up forgetting even their own identity. This phenomenon was not limited to humanoids; animals could also be affected. Infected individuals saw immense leaves clinging to their skin, accompanied by dangerous spores. Scientists have compared the disease to the scourge that afflicts Hadeïr, although its victims met a different fate. Long after the epidemic, a work of art was created in Vaeloria to preserve the memory of Fanure and bear witness to the fear it inspired. It was not merely an aesthetic creation, but a warning... The people would then see to it that such a tragedy never happened again.
