Lore

The ancestral Oniyx species was led by a great chief whom the books present as "the Inventor". His people vanished during his rebellion against the divinities. The writings of Lumethia keep his courage and his many sacrifices in memory. A member of his precious Council of Twelve, Samantha is the Treasurer responsible for the economy of Oniyxia. Very attentive to the smallest detail, she handles both the administration and the trade of her country. Too old to pass for a mere Anthropomorph, she is recognized as the founding elder of Abondance. As CEO of the XDA company, her fortune and the size of her commercial empire are unfathomable. She speaks very little of her past or of that of her species. She claims to want to share cultural values through the city of Abondance, although many believe she is rather inclined to exploit the most destitute.
